How's this for a home theater set up?
I think I've finally met the final configuration. But I would like the opinion of the people. (The more serious, please) Well here's Yamaha THX 7.1 Dolby Digital Receiver with THX Ultra 1000 Digtial sound cable for blu ray. This thing pumps about 140 watts by speaker cranks believe me. Bose Lifestyle 15 5.1 rear speakers, center and surround and a 200-watt subwoofer. These things can handle up to 200 watts each. I have 2 rear channel Pioneer center speaker, and also a Pioneer 80 watt subwoofer. Blu-Ray Sony BDP S-300 Blu-Ray player with Monster HDMI cable 1000 to TV. I have Verizon FiOS HD 1000 receiver with Monster HDMI to the TV. And a 58 "1080p HDTV Samsung PN58A650. Plasma. And all this is powered by the line conditoner Box Monster. What gives optimal image and power. I would like some opinions and the most serious please only.
I think you paid big. But I think we can save your Bose system at least. The first to do to upgrade is to replace the Bose subwoofer and get a SVS subwoofer. Find Next on getting a new front and center speakers (Infinity Beta or SVS would work). and replace the pioneers in the bose you are using for the fronts. You may have to do everything at once by Bose is based on the Subcommittee for the mid range sound (bleh) This will greatly improve the system. Bose would probably be very good for rear and side. Although I prefer JBL KEF or myself (personal preference). More beyond that. I urge you to not buy into the lies and marketing hype. It's easy to fall pray because that's as intended, but no. Do some research. At least a google search. http://www.intellexual.net/bose.html is a great article on Bose.
