how do you get your cpu screen to fit a tvs through an hdmi cable... my screen wont stretch to fit...?

Check the resolution and refresh rate that Windows is using for your TV. LCD TVs typically only use two resolutions depending on their size. 1080P translates to 1920 x 1080 and 720P translates to 1366 x 768. There are a few exceptions but your users manual should specify your monitors native resolution. Make sure your PC is using this resolution for that monitor. Too high of a refresh rate (measured in Hz) can cause display anamolies in addition to damaging your monitor. If you have a standard HDTV this is most likely 59 or 60Hz. Some of the newer higher priced HDTVs have 120 Hz refresh rates.
For me it was quite simple. I simply plugged the HDMI cable from the TV to the HDMI port on the laptop, turned on the the TV and then booted up the laptop. Windows read the TV name, native resolution and refresh rate through the port and set it automatically. I have a Sony Bravia 32 inch (720P), Dell Inspiron 15R and Windows 7.
