What sound option should I select for my PS3 when I have a Sony DAV HDX285 theater system?
What sound option should I select for my PS3 when I have a Sony DAV HDX285 theater system? I just bought a Sony DAV HDX285 theater system, and am hooking it up to my PS3, I have all the necessary cords. HDMI, optical digital, but in my PS3 sound setup options, I didn't know what to select, DD5.1, TDS5.1,AC, linear PMX, 44,1, 88,2, 176,4, 48KHZ??? should i select all of them? Whats the best? What wont hurt my system? I looked in my manuel , but it couldn't find anything....help. FYI I also have a 1080p HD tv.
According to page 100 of the manual for the U.S. model of the receiver ( http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DAVHDX285_US.pdf ), it will support these audio formats at the optical input:
Dolby Digital 5.1
DTS 5.1
Linear PCM 2ch (only frequencies that are 48kHz and below)
